The BBC has conducted a very interesting report into professionals who have decided to move abroad to work. Chris Callahan is one of the individuals who was questioned by the report after he moved from the USA to Hong Kong and then to Malaysia. Callahan explained: “I was fed up with Hong Kong. I found it very segregated. I had lived in China and found it strange to live in a predominately Chinese city where there was so much less effort to get to know each other”.

Callahan says of his initial thoughts upon arriving in Malaysia: “I loved it. I thought it was great. It bills itself as a multi-ethnic multinational society and it was fantastic.
